We have been busy over the summer months continuing to meet on a weekly basis, with a constant number of people attending the Café. In July, we had great fun partaking in our very own Wimbledon with strawberries, cream, home-made shortbread and non-alcoholic “Pimms”. We also had a chance to play tennis in the church! This went down very well. We have since made bunting for the church hall continuing our flower and butterfly theme. Being creative in whatever way we are able is such a positive activity-everything that is made is beautiful and comes from the heart so we celebrate each piece that is made.
I am very pleased to say that we are forging a strong link with Tatton Park and are most grateful for their kindness to us as a group. We have been invited to Afternoon Tea at the Clydesdale Barn in the Farm by BNY Mellon, a Manchester-based banking company who are doing some community work at Tatton. This is very exciting. We are also planning a visit to the Tatton Mansion in the autumn. So lots of interesting things are ahead for our café folk to enhance their time with us including gardening, singing, a band performance and always, our love and affection.
