Prayer, Partnership and Participation are the values at the heart of Zac’s House Kingdom Community and, over the past 12 months, there has been plenty of each. As we reflect back on all that God has done in and through our growing Kingdom community, we are both amazed and thankful for being a part of His mission to reach the town of Northwich and beyond with the good news of Jesus. Thank you so much for the way you continue to partner in prayer with us.
Our new premises, in the centre of Northwich, have really taken shape and we are very grateful to everyone who has been involved in the design, redecoration and fitting out – it’s looking fantastic! It has a wonderful relaxed, welcoming and homely feel, as has been commented on by many who have visited. Not only does it provide much needed office space, but also community space, as we continue to engage with those around us. We have named the space, ‘Hope52’ because, as Zac’s House Kingdom Community, we are seeking to bring God’s hope to Northwich. As a number of us prayed in the building, we were led to look at both Isaiah and Psalm 52, which is the number of the street where the building is situated. Within Isaiah 52, the words “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion ‘your God reigns’ ”… we quickly realised the centrality of hope within both this passage, our message and purpose and the name
‘Hope52’ was born for the building. We have been well received by our neighbours and locals and it is exciting having a central space in which to work from and engage with our community.
One of the most exciting things to happen this past month is the training we received from Ruth Rice, the founder leader and trainer of Renew Wellbeing, a ministry that facilitates churches in continuing to provide welcoming and inclusive spaces, with the emphasis on mental and emotional wellbeing. Zac’s House will be hosting a Wellbeing Cafe twice a month at Hope52, as from the beginning of this month, and we are excited to engage with the community in this way, providing relevant engagement with today’s culture.
Our next Alpha course is starting this month, as is our new ‘young disciples’ group aimed at older primary/ young teens, nurturing them in their faith and understanding of the gospel. We would value your prayers for each of these as we nurture those who are both new and not so new to the faith in Jesus. Please pray as we continue to relate to many people on our street and engage with the local community in new and innovative ways, including partnering with other churches to bring the love of Jesus
Please also pray as we reach out into the community to bring fresh hope: the mentoring at Weaverham High School, new Anxious for Nothing courses and as we offer prayer on the High Street of Northwich. Please pray for favour as we build relationships within the town and as we partner with others, and for God’s wisdom and direction in all we say and do.
