Zac’s House (March)

I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvellous things you have done. Psalm 9:1

This is a very exciting time for ZHKC, as Neal and a small team have just returned from a two-week trip to Uganda. On their first night they arrived very weary from their travels to a warm greeting by the hotel staff. One of the team gave a Gideon Testament to a member of staff, then others came and asked for a bible too & despite the time, they prayed with them. They left the next morning having prayed with most of the staff & releasing God’s blessings on the hotel.

On 19th January ZHKC had the pleasure of receiving Reverend Ashley Cooper at our new worship venue in Victoria Road Primary School. It was a wonderful time of worshipping God for all he has done, and we sensed God’s presence there with us. On 16th February we welcomed guest speaker Cheryl Garbett to preach at our worship, the Holy Spirit worked through Cheryl to share the message that God should always be the one steering the ship and that we should trust in him through the hard times as well as the good. We were blessed to have an amazing worship time led by David Hill and a truly Spirit filled service.

At the end of January some of our leadership team went on Catalyst Training at the Ivy Church in Didsbury. We learnt of BLESS values that we realised would really work within our community.

B – begin with prayer L – listen E – eat S – serve S – share stories

And when reaching out to our community we really feel led to use this template as a way to share God’s love and help some of the needs of our regulars and new people we encounter every day.

At ZHKC we are passionate about telling people about Jesus. With this in mind, Becca has started Coffee & Compassion at Costa in Northwich. The purpose is to build relationships with the people of Northwich. We want to show them that they are seen, valued and loved by God.

We are also coming to the end of our current Alpha course, and several of the group have expressed a wish to learn more about God’s word. We look forward to starting “The Bible Course” in March. We are launching new small groups which include Breakfast Prayer at Costa on Friday mornings and home groups.

We continue to have powerful prayer times on Mondays and Neal continues to work with some students at Weaverham High School to help, listen and encourage them through difficult times. Please pray for this continued work, that it makes a difference in these difficult situations and in these young peoples’ lives, so the decisions they make are the right decisions and that they always ask for help rather than trying to cope on their own.

ZHKC would like to invite you to the official opening of Hope52. The High Sheriff of Cheshire and Ruth Rice (Founder of Renew Wellbeing) will be in attendance. Come and learn more about our work including our Renew Wellbeing Café. It takes place at Hope52, on the 11th March at 7pm, and free refreshments will be provided.

This Easter, Northwich Churches Together are doing a Walk of Witness through the town. ZHKC are using this witness opportunity to perform a Passion Play in the streets of Northwich. Please pray that people in Northwich will have their eyes opened to the message of what Jesus has done for them. We want to see people’s lives transformed.

Thank you for your prayers and support as we continue to serve our awesome God

Thanks for visiting!
