Zac’s House (May)

It is the Lord who goes before you.
He will be with you; He will not fail you or forsake
you. Do not fear or be dismayed.
Deuteronomy 31:8

====================================
In these past few weeks it has been a challenging time for us all, learning new skills, trying to keep connected and still trying to lead a somewhat ‘normal’ life.
Impossible! But as it says in Luke 1:37 ‘Nothing is impossible with God’. So in this ‘impossible’ situation we find ourselves in, we at Zac’s have tried to be creative in our prayer life, Zoom life, worship and sharing with others.
We have created a Huddle of the leadership who meet 5 mornings a week for prayer, discussion and strategy.
Where we focus on how best we can do God’s work that day.
We have the privilege of partnering with Foodbank to ensure those in need get the essentials for their family.
A team of us answer the phones so people have a contact to get their food vouchers and this also included Neal driving round during Easter weekend delivering to those in crisis.
We have also been collecting for the NHS, as well as praying for their protection and strength and showing our appreciation for all their hard work with clapping on a Thursday evening. We felt that we would like to
contribute with some gifts to help them with their shopping, as they are working extra-long hours during this time and selflessly putting themselves at risk for others.
I am sure most of you have seen some of Neal’s ‘Truth @ 10ish’ posts on Facebook or WhatsApp. This has been a real encouragement to our community and beyond, who are looking for hope and direction at this
difficult time.
We are gradually getting more proficient with our online worship, collaborating together to provide a space to share the truth of the gospel and faith in our Lord. God has really shown us some new gifts during these past few weeks, Joseph on the piano, Debbie on the ukulele
and Sarah with her amazing readings of the Bob
Hartman stories.

We have been truly blessed with an amazing team and we really feel led by God in how we are becoming an even stronger Kingdom Community
with every day that passes. This last Easter weekend was amazing with the services on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and even at dawn on Easter morning looking at the cross outside Neal & Sarah’s house and really
feeling God’s presence in all of this.
We have now taken Renew 52 online. We still meet every Wednesday from 10am – 12noon but on Zoom (the link is always on the Renew 52 Facebook page if anyone would like to join us). This is where ‘it is ok not to be ok’. We share hobbies, (today some were colouring, another was doing word search and another was on their exercise bike!), chat and share prayers at
10am and 12 noon.
There have been challenges, too and, with every one, God has shown us direction, love and how to work in unity with each other to do the next right thing in everything we do. So, as we pray for you, please pray
for us too, to keep safe, have strength and be able to
carry on our work in the Lord Jesus’ name.

Thanks for visiting!
