“Staying in Touch” (Circuit Newsletter for AEKMC)

In our Circuit
These have been an unusual few months in our Circuit. We have had to adjust to life in lockdown, learnt new phrases like ’socially distancing’ and all that implies and faced different work and schooling challenges. It has also been a time of tremendous change for our churches as they seek to continue reaching out with the good news of Christ and caring for their members and communities.

So, although we still cannot meet together in person, there are a number of different ways you can continue to connect across the Circuit and we encourage you to make use of these where you find them to be helpful.

VE Day plans at Mottram St Andrew
MSt.A Chapel and Community are working together to mark VE Day at a distance. Individuals are setting up a display in the village centre, by working individually and apart. Chapel gates will display a VE Day poster to remind all that ‘We’ll meet again’, copies of the VE Day Times newspaper front page, and mention of those village people who gave their lives, will be
circulated through every door, and the minister will lead a peal of bells from Chapel across the village at 3pm marking Churchill’s balcony

Beyond our Circuit
Christian Aid Week: 10th – 16th May 2020
This year we are unable to collect Christian Aid donations in the usual way and this has prompted concern that only a small proportion of the £7.5 million raised last year across the UK will be donated again this year. Christian Aid is therefore encouraging people to donate directly via their website and this can be done at https://www.christianaid.org.uk.
