Covid-19 : Further to the letter sent with last week’s newsletter : Government guidance was amended again this week, and the Methodist Church’s advice remains that churches stay closed. We have also received advice from a colleague of Cath Applewhite who is an Intensive Care Medicine Consultant who replied
” I think it would be difficult to warrant reopening Church with the
present governmental guidance being in place”.
We are moving forward with our plans and now have floor stickers and pavement signs asking people to keep a ‘safe distance’ to allow for any
amendments to distancing. All the measures will enable us to be as safe an environment as possible for people in the coming months.
Bible Month 2020 invites churches and individuals to engage with the Book of Ruth over a four week period. This event is now hosted by LWPT, with the Methodist Church continuing as a key partner. For information on Bible Month, visit http://www.preachweb.org/biblemonth
