As we move forward with our phased re-opening of KMC, Church Council members have been asked to vote on proposals as follows:
· Caretakers to resume work at KMC during August.
· Staff members (Alan, Peter & Amanda) to resume usual working hours from 1 September at KMC Office
· wef Thursday 3rd September KMC to be opened for private prayer for 1 hour on a Monday & Thursday 10 am – 11 am.
All these proposals were passed and any further easing of restrictions will be discussed at the next Church Council meeting in September.
With regard to opening for prayer we will require 2 volunteers per session to help supervise and ensure people attending are observing guidelines. As the infections continues to rise we will not be asking anyone over the age of 70 or those with underlying health conditions to volunteer for this.
If you are able to help please send an email to the Church Office with your name and what dates you are able to help, commencing Thursday 3rd September.
What to expect at those “private prayer hours”:
There will be a maximum capacity of 30 spaces during the hour.
On entry through main Church doors you must wear a face covering (unless you are exempt) and use the hand sanitiser available. Toilets will not be in use.
You will be asked to complete a tracing form as a record for the Government tracing. Please bring your own pen for this purpose. Bbibles have also been removed so please bring your own if you wish.
Chairs will be grouped either singly or in two’s spaced at 2m apart. After individual use a sign will be placed on the chair(s) to say “not in use”. After each session the chairs will be quarantined for at least 3 days.
On your exit (which will be via the side door onto Princess Street) hand sanitiser will also be available.
We hope that we will have sufficient volunteers to make this possible however we may need to cancel sessions where we cannot staff it.
