In preparation for the Welcome Service for Rev Alan Bradley, his wife Carol and their family, we have been pleased to invite a few representatives of the groups that Alan will work with in Knutsford and the Circuit to
contribute short video clips to that Service.
We have also sent letters to those who would normally have been
invited to attend a Welcome Service, as we have done in the past when welcoming other new ministers.
It has been a delight to receive messages of welcome from so many and we are sure Alan will quickly feel very much at home, not just in Knutsford Methodist Church and our Circuit, but in the life of Knutsford and the
surrounding area. Alan will get involved with our town Churches and their congregations, with our schools, their staff and pupils, in the civic life of the town and county through our Mayors and Councillors, and in the wider community with projects such as The Welcome and Zac’s House.
While we said goodbye to Rob and Carol Cotton a few weeks ago, we have learnt that our friends at St Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church in Knutsford will also be saying goodbye to their Parish Priest, Father John
Joyce, who will be retiring in September. In his letter to us, Father Joyce expressed his delight for our Churches and congregations that we would soon be having a new Minister, and has kindly included a welcome to
Alan and farewell to Rob in their parish newsletter.
Father Joyce kindly said how he had enjoyed such cordial relationships with so many of our congregation over the years, and he wished us all every blessing and happiness for the future.
