 December was an exciting month for us, when Christmas was just around the corner, and with all other business-related plans then coming to a head.  We’ve now produced our business plan for the future and also, courtesy of Manchester Airport, have been able to produce a top quality annual report.

Our Christmas tree did a flying visit to Alderley Edge Methodist Church to take part in their Christmas-tree Festival.  The Little Stars funky Christmas carol concert was a raging success and so also have been the Christmas dinners which we served over Tuesday and Wednesday in the week preceding Christmas week.  The Youth Café also had a DJ and a ‘make your own trifles’ table, courtesy of the Down To Earth project.

Andy Hurdsfield has come through his stomach operation with flying colours.  We’ve told him that he can’t work yet but it’s a struggle to keep him away from the place.  So thanks to all those people throughout the churches who have been praying for him.

We encourage you to continue to pray for us as we face the challenge of the coming year.  And on that note may I wish you all a happy New Year from all of us at the Welcome.         Mike
