I hope you have all had an enjoyable summer, although I am led to believe that September and October are going to be unusually warm. We shall see!
When Rob worked for Bible Society we had to buy our own home over in Nottingham and for the last 5 years we have had tenants renting the house. We have just decided to sell and went for a visit the other week to do a few jobs. Our tenants have made a costly mistake. They do not enjoy gardening, so in trying to kill the weeds in the lawn, they managed to put on path weed killer by mistake!
Have you ever wondered what is provided for children when they leave the main worship area?
Well we are now calling this a new name KMC-KIDZ.
Currently KMC Kidz is split into four groups and these have been given new names. These are -
KMC-CRECHE 0-3yr olds who meet in room two. The room has been refurbished and is full of toys. Here the children learn through play.
Please remember to book in for our next Safeguarding Training session ; but only if you haven't managed to attend one of our courses in the last 6 months.
Everyone is welcome to attend Safeguarding training. However, those who volunteer in particular roles in Church must attend one of the updated training sessions.
"Friendship Café" is the name of our café for people with dementia and their carers which we launched in January 2017. From now on it will take place on the 2nd and 4th Friday mornings of each month, from 10am to 12noon in the Church Hall.
The past two months have been awesome fun and we have seen God, yet again, invade our every day realities with his love for us.
How good is he?!
