Zac’s House Northwich

“I look up to the mountains – does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber.
Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps.
The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.
The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night.
The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life.
The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever”.
Psalm 121 New Living Translation (NLT)

Through these ever changing times and more lockdowns we find ourselves calling out for help.
Remembering that God is with us no matter what, really has shown to be truth here at Zac’s. We have seen miracles and a strength through this past month that could only come from our Lord. We are really focussing on prayer, with the 24 hour prayer event at the end of September, studying prayer in our weekly Bible study on Thursday evenings using Pete Grieg’s book ‘How to Pray’, as well as Coffee & Prayer after our online services on a Sunday and the prayer time we have on Wednesday mornings at Renew 52.

Through this we are seeing a growth in our impact amongst our community, with new conversations opening up, deepening relationships in the youth groups, and people being healed. We are looking forward to our next 24 hour prayer event on 2 November! If you would like to
sign up for a half hour slot, please get in contact with Neal or Jo.

We have started a 6 week course, ‘How Happiness Happens’ by Max Lucado on alternate Sunday evenings, being held in Temple Café Bar, Witton Street, Northwich.
It follows a DVD presentation and small group discussion, which we are able to hold in socially-distanced groups. It is proving to be really rewarding, especially at this critical time.
Renew 52 is now back up and running, in Hope52, every Wednesday from 10am – 12noon, where “it is ok not to be ok”. You can bring an activity or craft, or just come and ‘be’. A booking system is in place, and numbers are
limited, so if you would like to come along please contact Neal or Jo via email.
Sunday Services are now happening in person at the Northwich Methodist Outreach Centre on Witton Street, fortnightly at 10:30am. Again, there is a booking system so please get in touch if you would like to join us.
It is great to be able to gather together in worship again, albeit in a very different way and for just a short time.
We are continuing with our online services and daily Truth@10ish, as well as weekly walks in small groups.
Now that the evenings are drawing in, our youth groups, Quest for the 7-11’s and Impact for the 11-14’s, are meeting at the Northwich Methodist Outreach Centre on Wednesdays 4.30pm – 6pm and 6.30pm – 8pm
respectively, enjoying fun, games and a gospel message.
At the end of this month we will be holding a conference in Uganda and are grateful for technology enabling us to continue connecting with our friends and partners there, despite being unable to travel! Last month we were able
to hold a pre-conference meeting, where Neal and others were able to share teaching, and we are looking forward to being able to engage and encourage more in the full conference.
